What a beautiful wedding at the Sacred Heart Cathedral and Mia Francesca in Raleigh! Mackenzie and Andrew put so much intentionality into their wedding day, and it paid off! They were so intentional, down to every little detail. I love when couples do this because a wedding day is so important. It’s a reflection of the couple, where everything represents something meaningful to the them.
I still remember the way the cathedral smelled as I walked in. Mackenzie had her signature scent, Jo Malone (which I’m now obsessed with!), spread throughout the ceremony space. Talk about going the extra mile!
Her invitation suite was amazing too. The bride actually designed it herself! In fact, the envelope liners, invitations, and cathedral sketch were all created by Mackenzie! The emerald green you see is her favorite color, and the touches of dogwood was done as an ode to North Carolina since they were moving to NYC after the wedding!
I know us photographers talk a lot about the details and aesthetics of a wedding day, but don’t be fooled. We know the people who make up a wedding day are a thousand times more important! The people Mackenzie and Andrew surround themselves with showed so much love that day while celebrating the couple. It shows in the photos, too! See for yourself below!
